Team Safari Kids Program Objective
1. To establish youth programs, such as afterschool programs and teen centers across the country. These programs/centers will be franchised and governed by a uniform set of policies and procedures. They will be designed to propagate the principles of America's Promise in communities countrywide.
2. To revive "America's Promise'' to provide youth-at risk safe places with structured activities in which to learn and grow and, thus strengthen communities. To revitalize the promise to the youth of America a bright future by providing them with caring adults in their lives acting in roles as parents, mentors, tutors, coaches, not to the exclusion of any child.
3. To establish, as a 50lc.3 nonprofit, relationships with local and state government entities and solicit their participation in providing a 12 - month Youth Promise Campaign. Each month will be devoted to the development and implementation of a new promise to our youth culminating in a Youth Day Event. The efforts will be concentrated in revitalization areas, urban communities and communities positioned at the edge.
4. To demonstrate to perspective sponsorship the benefits and value gained through their support of the Youth Promise Campaign.
5. To develop a pool of excited and committed Team Safari Pal volunteers. A primary source for the volunteers shall be the BASS Federation (Bass Anglers Sportsman's Society) comprised of local chapters and clubs across the country. Each club has a youth pledge commitment for the year. BASS is comprised of members in all professions and socioeconomic levels. All participants are committed to inspiring youth to identify with what they do in their real life professions and showing the path of making the right choices while pursuing achievable and diverse carrier goals … Just imagine that economic walls have crumbled in our cities and the culture of our communities has become more homogenous … that we have gotten back to basics.
6. To identify disadvantaged youth and children at risk by reaching out to and developing relationships with troubled communities and their residents experiencing the negative impact of youth violence & vandalism. To bring these youth - at risk into frequent contact with individuals from a diverse cross section of the industry who have made their success in this fine country. Youth who have not learned to imagine or are afraid to dream about their endless potential … just imagine the world that has no boundaries ... the future has no limits … your imagination is limitless.
7. To develop and implement a television program through Team Safari where youth can take pride in demonstrating to the world their diversity and demonstrate to their peers that different is not bad… Just imagine... we live in a world where we applaud differences and praise accomplishments! The television program will showcase noteworthy youth achievement in school and community or personal life accomplishment. The outdoor arena inherently implies "freedom" and therefore the program will invite traditional and nontraditional sports celebrities to co-host and share about their contributions to society and rewards of daring to dream and be adventurous ... Just imagine… we live in world where youth have become excited about their reality and individual contributions to the world.
8. To develop a Team Safari Kids magazine similar to the "Scholastics Magazine'' series of our youth that will centerfold a young person's monthly accomplishments, offer tips on how to live from youth mentors and professionals, include problem-solving and reasoning articles, feature kid short stories, poetry and artwork and offer a platform for youth discussion and interaction ... Just imagine that youth of all ages were excited about receiving their monthly subscription of Team Safari Kids Scholastic ... their ticket to a new adventure a bright new future!
9. To develop a marketing support base to forge our concepts and pursue Team Safari Kids' and America's Dream ... promise to the youth of America a ''Bright Future".
